Vasse Felix FILIUS Chardonnay 2019
Established in 1967 by regional pioneer Dr Tom Cullity, Vasse Felix is Margaret River's founding wine estate. All wines are grown in Vasse Felix’s four Margaret River vineyards with the grapes for the Filius mostly sourced from Adams Road Vineyard, the largest, planted in 1998. This vineyard grows fruit with ripeness and generous flavour, which are winning features of Vasse Felix Filius Chardonnay, an exceptionally good value wine for any event.
The nose of the Vasse Felix Filius Chardonnay is a rich salad of sweet and tart fruits including apricot, pineapple and lemon, lavishly seasoned with nutty spices. The palate balances artfully between crisp dry cereal notes, sour lemon rind, and sweet hints of baked apples in cream.
