Torbreck The Struie Shiraz 2017
Coming from a cooler vintage, the 2017 Struie displays pure elegance and refinement. A true darling of the premium restaurant scene as it works so well with a broad range of food styles.
Vibrant and juicy red and violet fruits, very smooth with very ripe tannin and perfect with braised beef or even spicier Moroccan lamb tagine.

Vintage 2013 - A blend of Barossa and Eden Valleys. An extremely powerful and complex wine, with a major question hanging over its head in the form of tis alcohol; there is an ocean of black fruits, but the alcohol warmth is a take it or leave it issue.

Vintage 2017 - Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 "The Struie" has a very youthful crushed black berry and black currant nose with licorice, dark chocolate and tar suggestions. Full-bodied with a taut, muscular palate and solid backbone of chewy tannins, this is a sturdy, rugged style, which should mellow a bit with a few years in cellar.
