Tim Adams Pinot Gris 2021
Tim Adams and his wife Pam founded Tim Adams Wines in 1987 at Warenda Road in Clare Valley and have now built such a reputation locally and overseas that in 2016 Tim was named one of the Ten Apostles - Stories of Australia's Iconic Winemakers in David Aylward and Paul Ashton’s book. Not only did Tim Adams choose to make a Pinot Gris in Riesling's Aussie heartland, he decided to keep the grape's characteristic rose gold hue (think pink). The resulting Tim Adams Pinot Gris is a very flavoursome, fruity wine that will have you rethinking what you expect from a Pinot Gris.

Vintage 2017 - Everything here is as it should be. A slight bronze tinge, a burst of sweet pear, a crunch of apple and just enough texture to suggest at grippiness - without quite going there. Add fuzzy peach and lychee flavours and the barest, barest whisper of sweetness and you have a racy-but-generous white wine begging to be teamed with modestly-spiced foods.
