Stoneleigh Pinot Noir 2018
Stoneleigh vineyards are located in the northern region of Marlborough, called Rapaura by Maori inhabitants. European settlers referred to the region as Struggler’s Flat because the infertility of the soil made farming so difficult. This area, which could scarcely support one sheep per acre, has proven to be ideal for growing Marlborough’s signature and award-winning grape varietals, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.
Immediately approachable, this wine has a deep, ruby red hue and ripe, dark berry fruit and cherry flavours with persistent fruit sweetness.
