Shaw & Smith Sauvignon Blanc 2019
Shaw and Smith grow the grapes for their excellent Sauvignon Blanc in their 35-hectare Balhannah vineyard which surrounds their winery and tasting room. The elevation is a 340-380m making perfect cool climate conditions and all grapes are hand-picked, and the wines are fermented, aged and bottled on-site at Balhannah to guarantee quality. Widely hailed as the leading Sauvignon Blanc producer in Australia, Shaw and Smith have delivered a vibrant medium-bodied vintage that lives up to the expectations set by its predecessors.
The Shaw And Smith Sauvignon Blanc exhibits a herbaceous bouquet of fresh-cut grass that opens into an intense, citrus-driven palate layered with notes of pink grapefruit, lime juice, green apple and crunchy pear. Impeccably clean with a lovely dry finish, this is a great wine to enjoy before or with some local seafood.

Vintage 2018 - James Halliday Top 100 Wines - This is a dignified sauvignon blanc that continuously reveals itself as you move from the bouquet through to the aftertaste of the palate. Initially it has classic restraint, but by the time you pick up the sweet fruit (not sugar) you realise it's the product of a vintage designed for sauvignon blanc. Vintage 2017
