Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque Blanc 2008
The Cuvee Perrier-Jouet Epoque 2008 comes from a year of cool temperatures and little sunshine. Due to the warmer weather that returned in September, the 2008 vintage displays freshness and a nicely rounded mouthfeel with delicate structure. This blend consists of Chardonnay (50%) Pinot Noir (45%) and Pinot Meunier (5%) to create a beautifully balanced curvee.
A floral and spicy bouquet of honeysuckle and cinnamon fruit bread heralds a delicate palate with notes of creamy lemon curd entwined with dried pineapple, Madeira cake and toasty, nutty marzipan.

One of the most famous bottles with the distinctive floral decoration. This is looking very bright and tidy in 2004, with a wealth of deep-set complexity on the nose, citrus peel and pith, some honey, grilled nuts too. The palate s authoritative, with very powerful savoury and commanding flavours of cashew and almond, some brioche and stone fruits to close. A majestic Champagne.
Huon Hooke, The Real Review
2007 - A marvellously fine, subtle, discreet Champagne with tremendous chardonnay-driven finesse and delicacy. Perfumes include lemon meringue, candied grapefruit peel and small white flowers. The mousse is super-fine and creamy. The clean finish has fresh acidity and avoids austerity. (Cork)
