Product details
Bin 707 is Penfolds Cabernet Sauvignon equivalent to their world-famous Grange, with ripe, intensely flavoured fruit that completes fermentation and is matured in new American oak barrels. Named by an ex-Qantas marketing man, hence numbered like the iconic Boeing aircraft, Bin 707 was first vintaged in 1964. Ripe and vibrant, the 2002 edition of this wine is undoubtedly one of the finest Cabernets in the country, making this gift-boxed Magnum a distinguished present for a deserving recipient.

Tasting notes
Impenetrable black/purple with a concession of red at the rim, Penfolds Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon has an unashamedly powerful, 'sweet' nose of ripe fruits and unbaked Christmas cake mix that align with an aromatic coal/smoky barrel-ferment lift. On the palate, dark stone fruits, mocha and dark chocolate flavours stand apart with black olive, tarry 'darkness' and huge, ripe tannins add lovely texture and length on the finish.

Andrew Caillard MW
Vintage 2015 - Deep crimson. Intense fragrant mulberry, blackcurrant pastille leafy aromas with meaty/ mocha oak notes. Generously concentrated and sweet-fruited wine with beautiful blackcurrant leafy dried herb flavours, persistent chocolaty tannins and mocha, roasted chestnut oak. Plush and velvety in texture, with superb energy, tension, density and mineral length. A perfectly balanced cabernet sauvignon defining the hallmarks of brilliant vineyard sourcing and 19th Century colonial vinestock material selections. Glorious wine. 20 months in 100% new American oak hogsheads. 2025 - 2040.
