Penfolds Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz 2017

Barossa Valley

  • Product details
Our wide brown land has some ancient soils and few more ancient than Marananga, which lies very close to the centre of the Barossa Valley floor where warm dry conditions and rich red soils, provide the backbone to some of the region's best-known wines. Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz is one example, bursting with flavours of sweet spice thanks to a year developing in a mix of French and American oaks. It was first introduced in 2008 in response to the increasing availability of exceptional fruit.
  • Tasting notes
Penfolds Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz has a black core with garnet edges, and an aromatic jigsaw; bay leaf, fig, black pudding, cookies and cream, Golden Gaytime ice-cream, iced coffee and sticky date pudding. The palate is meatier than the nose might suggest, Greek lamb and rosemary, bonemarrow/steak tartare, with the fruits and berries, juniper, strawberry and cranberry. A plush and glossy wine magnificent with red meat and game.
