Peccavi Chardonnay 2014 -2016
Peccavi’s vineyard in the north of the Margaret River region thrives in the balanced maritime climate. During the hot growing season, their viticulture practices encourage vine roots to drive deep down to the sub-strata of ancient granite in search of nutrients and water, which makes for fruit so outstanding that other top wine producers in the region buy Piccavi’s surplus grapes. The vines concentrate flavour in the fruit and add natural mineral characters to the finished Peccavi Chardonnay, a premium Chardonnay true to the Margaret River style.
Barley straw yellow, the Peccavi Chardonnay offers an expressive bouquet of ripe peach and nectarine fruits, a little citrus with toasty oak-derived aromas of butter and biscuit. The palate is full and round, grapefruit and stone fruit and great length. Top drop to enjoy on its own, or with seared scallops.

2010 - Simply a superb but extremely young chardonnay, whose heady, lightly floral bouquet of white peach, grapefruit and vanilla oak reveal nuances of cloves, cashew and chalkiness. It’s unctuous, round and smooth, with a plush but tightly controlled palate of grapefruit, yellow peach and melon flavour finely balanced with fresh oak and culminating in a long, gentle and almost savoury finish of soft, tightly-knit acids and a lingering briny, faintly mineral note. Likely to age brilliantly, for a long time.
