In the 19th century, casks of wine aged as they were transported across the sea on open decks of sailing ships. The Noilly family decided to recreate the effects in L’Enclos next to the Mediterranean, where the fine dry whites wines used in Noilly Prat Original Dry, are aged for 12 months, exposed to the elements. It makes for perfect vermouth to enjoy with a twist or in your favourite Martini recipe.
