Moss Wood Wilyabrup Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
The release of the Moss Wood Wilyabrup Cabernet Sauvignon is always a highly anticipated event each year, and the 2016 vintage release has benefited from remarkable weather conditions in the Margaret River. Winemakers Clare & Keith Mugford 'couldn't be happier' with the 2016 release which presents requisite balance, smooth and supple velvet texture and a greater concentration of flavour coming from tiny yields. Cellaring will develop optimal results after 25 years.
Cabernet and Sauvignon work their magic on the palate, combining to give generous blueberry, blackberry and red currant flavour. With the season delivering near-perfect conditions for fruit ripeness, the balance, smoothness and supple velvet texture are present in greater concentration due to the tiny yields, providing a density only seen in the very best seasons.

Bob Campbell - The Real Review
Vintage 2016 - Delicious cabernet, with an appealing core of sweet, ripe blackcurrant and blackberry with subtle spice, cedar and nutty oak characters. This is a seriously good red wine that can be enjoyed now but promises to be sensational after at least 5-6 years of bottle age.
Huon Hooke, The Real Review
Vintage 2016 - Deepish red colour with a good tint of purple, and a bouquet of sweet berries, violets, mulberries and cassis. A fragrant, almost floral cabernet, the elegance of the nose reflected on the palate, which is medium to full-bodied and juicy, delicious and finely-textured. A lovely wine, already drinking well, and a lighter vintage for this maker – but gorgeous.
