Moss Wood Amy's Cabernet Merlot 2017
Established in 1969, Moss Woods is a flagship estate of Margaret River wine region. The Moss Wood and Ribbon Vale vineyards are located in Wilyabrup, Western Australia. Amy’s Cabernet and Merlot blend is top-rated and a favourite among Australians. Accolades for the 2017 vintage include rank in the 100 Best Australian Wines by Matthew Jukes and 95 points by Bob Campbell of The Real Review. Amy’s is a rich red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. This allows all of the best traits from each varietal to shine through in this delicious blend. Each varietal is fermented separately and then comes together as a blend to age for 12 months in oak. Amy’s is specifically designed for early drinking, although she ages well.
Amy’s has a very rich and deep brick colour. Ripe berry aromas showcase each varietal well with hints of red currant, blackberry, plums, and black jubes. Dark berry flavours concentrate on your palate with hints of spices and herbs toward the finish. Firm acidity and tannins allow this wine to be drinkable now or ready to be tucked away in a cellar. Pair with your favourite beef dishes.
