McGuigan’s Critics Choice HV AH Chardonnay 2017
McGuigan Critics Choice Chardonnay raises funds for the Head and Neck Cancer Foundation, which was founded through the inspiration of John Fordham, the Sunday Telegraphs long-time wine writer, following his successful cancer recovery. His collaboration with friend and winemaker Neil McGuigan has produced a wine reflecting the variety's supreme status, a blend of two great Chardonnay regions; the Hunter Valley and the Adelaide Hills. John Fordham's artist daughter Sarah created the label design, an abstract added touch to a lovely focussed wine.
Golden in the glass, McGuigan Critics Choice Chardonnay is a luscious and mouth-filling wine with initial hints of lemon rind and peach. Complex with pronounced notes of stone fruit and lemon meringue, and vibrant yet subtle oak influence.
