Lowenbrau Original Beer 24 x 330ml

  • Product details
Nobody can be sure when Löwenbräu (Lion’s brew) first started but by 1863 it had become the largest brewery in Munich, producing a quarter of the city's beer output. At the beginning of the 20th century, Löwenbräu was the largest brewery in Germany, with a healthy export business not surprising negatively affected by World War 1 and the destruction of the buildings in a World War 2 bombing raid. As soon as the brewery was rebuilt, Löwenbräu was exported again and has been served at every Munich Oktoberfest since 1810: a beer that just loves a party.
  • Tasting notes
German Helles beer, Löwenbräu is barley straw coloured with a deep long-lasting white foam, very aromatic, with a hint of honey. It has a robust body, bitter with a pronounced flavour of malty sweetness for balance, followed by fruity notes and leading to a dry finish. It’s a strong beer (5.2%ABV) so handle with care or accompany with a hearty sausage and sauerkraut.
