Little Black Stone
Little Black Stone Sauvignon Blanc 2018
Since co-founding Catalina Sounds in Marlborough, Australian Ant Moore has branched out and spread his talents far and wide in NZ's South Island. For example, he took the grapes from a block in a vineyard in Marlborough that has little black stones scattered through it made a wine called Little Black Stone. The Little Black Stone Sauvignon Blanc is a blend from various vineyards, and its stone fruit flavours make for a no-fuss, easy-drinking ‘wine time’ refreshment.
A Sauvignon Blanc in the classic Marlborough style. Crisply herbaceous on the nose with aromas of fresh-cut herbs and grass, peppered with wet slate, earth and chalky mineral nuances. The palate displays more grassy herbs plus nectarine, grapefruit and lemon/lime wrapped around a bright, taut acid frame. It has all the punch necessary to take it up to spicy Asian entrees.
