Little Black Stone
Little Black Stone Pinot Noir 2016
Since co-founding Catalina Sounds in Marlborough, Aussie Ant Moore has branched out and spread his talents far and wide in NZ's South Island. For example, he took the grapes from a block in a vineyard in Marlborough that has little black stones scattered through it made a wine called Little Black Stone. A lovely selection of French oak makes the latest vintage of Little Black Stone Pinot Noir a multilayered and fascinating wine to enjoy on any occasion.
Little Black Stone Pinot Noir has black cherry and strawberry on the nose with slight hints of cinnamon. Full mouthfeel opens up to multilayered red berry fruit with lovely balanced tannins and finishing with earthy undertones. This wine will suit gamey meat or mushroom dishes like Arancini Balls.
