Hewitson Ned & Henry's Shiraz Mourvedre 2017
This Steingarten Road Vineyard is approx 30 years old located at an altitude of 280m. The Singular soil-type is ancient oxidised ferrous (terra rossa) over limestone. The wine is aged for 9 months in mid-seasoned French oak barriques.
This Shiraz is deep crimson red in colour with a purple hue & the aroma is of red and black forest berries. French oak spice and richness. The palate is explosive red berries. Velvety soft tannins. Fresh acidity on the finish.
