Henschke Peggy’s Hill Riesling 2019
This wine takes its name from a local landmark, Peggy's Hill, which is at the top of the range between Eden Valley and Keyneton. Better known for its famous Eden Valley reds, Henschke is no slouch as a white winemaker, as this soft, succulent Riesling has proved, winning the Riesling Trophy at The National Wine Show of Australia as well as a Gold Medal at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show. This vibrant, long finishing Riesling will be a favourite before you finish the first glass.
Henschke Peggy’s Hill Riesling is pale with vibrant aromas of lime and lemon zest, flowering lavender, white rose and citrus blossom that are greeted by notes of stone fruit and green peppercorn. Zesty lime and ripe citrus flavours interlace with crisp acidity and a fine mineral edge that provides focus and purity on the long, clean finish. This aromatic gem will go well with any meaty shellfish.

Vintage 2017 - The grapes are grown by Eden Valley contract growers of long standing with vines up to 50yo. The grapes were delivered between 14 Mar and 1 Apr, and this spread has given the wine excellent mouthfeel and balance, only a touch behind its two siblings.
