Henschke Mount Edelstone Shiraz 2013 Gift Boxed
In 1912 Ronald Angas, a descendant of George Fife Angas, the founder of South Australia, planted the Mount Edelstone vineyard in Eden Valley solely with Shiraz vines. First bottled as a single-vineyard wine in 1952, it has become recognised as one of the greatest Shiraz wines in Australia. This Henschke Mount Edelstone Shiraz, made with fruit grown using organic and biodynamic practices is intensely flavoured and comes in a slick black and silver gift box.
Intense on the nose and the palate Henschke Mount Edlelstone Shiraz has sweet dark plums and blackberries with underlying spice and silky tannins. The palate has lovely concentration with layers of plum, blackcurrant, blackberry and liquorice, finishing fleshy and well-structured with rolling chalky tannins. Try this iconic Shiraz with braised duck.

Vintage 2013 - Vivid, deep purple-crimson; this is a blue-blood aristocratic shiraz, certain in its supreme power, length and balance, and not going out to prove anything. If anyone doubts its quality now, the scales will fall from their eyes over the decades ahead, as it will be recognised by all and sundry as one of the greatest Mount Edelstones.
