Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Established in 1973, Domaine A’s historic Stoney Vineyard is the oldest in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley and lies on a north-facing slope that enjoys some of the longest sunshine hours in Australia, ensuring grapes ripen to develop the full spectrum of character. Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from the smallest grapes with the most intensity and thickest skins and matured in 100% new French oak barriques for two to three years. Collectors consider Domaine A Cabernet in the top echelon of Australian wine, and the 2005 vintage is a great example, we're thinking to drink it with some barbecue Tasmanian Lamb or King Island Cheeses.
Deep Ruby coloured, the Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 has aromatics of Chinese plum blossom, blackberry and clove woven with whispers of cedar. The palate has ripe dark cherry and cassis characters with seamless elegance, fine tannic structure and perfect natural balance.
