Dexter Pinot Noir 2017
2018 was warm and dry on the Mornington Peninsular. The near perfect ripening conditions provided very high quality fruit. Handpicked Pinot fruit was transferred to open top fementers with a small portion being whole bunch fermented. The wine was then aged for 6 months in a combination of new and used French Oak, resulting in an incredibly elegant and perfumed Pinot Noir.
Aromas of blackberries, plums and cherries flow through to the palate along with hints of dried herbs and spices. The palate is lush and juicy with great length and fine tannins. Incredibly complex and refined Pinot Noir that will age very well - if you can keep your hands of it!
