Marlborough is New Zealand’s leading wine region, as well as one of the finest winemaking locations in the world. Established in only 1985, Cloudy Bay was one of the first five winemakers to venture into Marlborough and write its name large on the world wine map. Cloudy Bay’s Pelorus sparkling wine is one of Marlborough’s highest quality wines, creamy and nutty with a long fresh finish and incredible value.
The Pelorus NV sparkling from Cloudy Bay strikes an optimum balance of delicate acidity, chalky minerality and rich, mouth-filling flavours. The palate is lead by Chardonnay characters of crunchy apple and bread dough, with dark chocolate and red fruit nuances from the Pinot Noir.

Lots of cracked yeast and bread, white peach and citrus - complexity and intensity here. Full flavoured, briney and high impact, with fine acidity and an attractive bubbly mouth-feel. Has some Champagne character, yet also has individual style and quality. Very good. Surprisingly so.
