Cloudy Bay Chardonnay 2017
Some things are just meant to be, and Marlborough was meant to be a place to grow the best cold climate grapes to make great white wines. The grapes for Cloudy Bay Chardonnay are grown in four vineyard blocks located in separates sub-regions of the Marlborough region; Brancott, Ben Morven, Fairhall and Central Wairau Valley. These low-yielding early-ripening vineyards make Cloudy Bay Chardonnay a mouth-watering wine as sunny and fresh as Marlborough itself.
This Cloudy Bay Chardonnay's nose offers appealing aromas of cereals, wheat flower, mandarin and ripe lemon with creamy cashew nuts and underlying grapefruit zest. The palate has fresh lively entry flavours include slate, green plums, tart lemons and nougat offering richness and depth. Plenty of curdy, lees-influenced nuances wrapped up in an acid profile it matches well with white fish.

Vintage 2010 -For all the fame of Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc and its ever-rising success with pinot noir, chardonnay has been the quiet member of the family, never quite meeting the grade. Until now. There's an understated confidence to this wine, a seamless inner harmony and a refined texture that unravels slowly through the palate. It's elegant, silky, very long and laced with fragrant lemon blossom, refined white peach and gorgeous grapefruit flavours.
