  • Tasting notes
This delicate wine shows all the spice and perfume we expect from cool climate Pinot Gris. Nashi, ginger and rosewater perfume leads to a rich and textured palate with nutty complexity from the barrel ferment component, finishing crisp, fresh and balanced. A cool flowering period and dry growing season resulted in intense crops with good fruit concentration and natural acidity. Handpicked grapes are whole bunch pressed to tank for settling. 20% Wild yeast fermentation in seasoned oak puncheons to build texture and complexity. The remainder is fermented cool in stainless steel tanks to retain freshness & purity.

Vintage - 2018 Whole bunch pressing and part fermentation in used French oak puncheons has invested the wine with varietal purity, and also textural interest.
