Bird in Hand is a family-owned winery cultivating cool-climate wine that captures the spirit of Southern Australia's Adelaide Hills.

It all started in 1997, when father and son, Andrew and Michael Nugent began to dream of creating internationally recognized wines.

Bird in Hand is known for its four tiers of wine. They are known as the Tribute Series, Nest Egg, Bird in Hand, and Two in the Bush compiled of Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Italian varietals like Nero d'avola, Montepulciano, and Arneis wines.

Winners of the Red Winemaker of the Year, International Wine Challenge 2019

What I love about winemaking is the aspirational side. The combination of agriculture and science and art – the ability to be creative while pursuing quality and excellence.
