Belle Époque Blanc de Blanc Ritsue Mishima 2004
In 1902, Emile Gallé, one of Art Nouveau's most celebrated artists, designed a swirl of anemones wreathed in gold for the Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque bottle and the Champagne House retains a love of Art Nouveau. Perrier-Jouet teamed up with the Venice-based Japanese glass sculptor Ritsue Mishima to produce an exquisite Limited Edition bottle for the 2004 Belle Époque Blanc de Blanc. The organic swirls reflect the fruit purity of the 100% Grand Cru Chardonnay, and with only 72 bottles available in Australia, this is genuinely a stunning gift or to reward yourself.
Clear and bright, opalescent with tinges of green and a persistent mousse, Belle Époque Blanc de Blanc 2004 has generous yet delicate aromas of lilac blossom and young white fruits such as peach and grapefruit. The bouquet is made richer with hints of orange confit, vanilla, and cream. In the mouth, it is delicate yet dynamic, with an ideal length that seduces the palate. A luxury Champagne that pairs beautifully with caviar and lobster.
