OUR SHORT STORY 


 

It all started in 2001 when two cousins set up a tiny store at the back of The Australian Heritage Hotel specialising in corporate beverages. 

Originally branded 'The Australian Wine Emporium' due to the wide range of fine wines on offer. The little store continued to grow as did the range - hence the rename to 'Shorty's Liquor' and the move to larger premises in Rhodes Shopping Centre in 2004.   

It was four years later that Shorty’s moved back to the city, taking ownership of an Ultimo warehouse and turning its eye to corporate beverages exclusively for their beloved corporate customers.

As the business has grown, so too has the Shorty’s team. A passionate and dynamic team of hospitality experts, client advocates, digital marketers and delivery drivers push the envelope for our clients every day. 

Headquartered in Ultimo where we also house our second* most valuable asset - many of the most remarkable wines from around the world. *second to our team and clients of course.
